This policy explains how Cruse Agency, run by Christopher Cruse, handles information connected to this website and to messages sent to me. For privacy questions or requests, email hello@cruse.agency.
Information you provide
When you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, and anything else you include, such as your current website, whether you want the free website checkup, and your message. I use it to reply, prepare a checkup or quote, and keep records of our work together.
Contact form messages are delivered to my inbox as an email through Resend, an email delivery service. The form does not set cookies, and its contents are never sent to Google Analytics. You can also email me directly instead of using the form. Please don't include sensitive personal information in a message.
Running the website
The website's hosting provider processes technical information, such as IP addresses and request details, to deliver the site, keep it secure, and fix problems. This happens whatever you choose about analytics.
Google Analytics and cookies
Google Analytics is available on this website, but it runs only after you accept analytics cookies. Rejecting analytics does not limit your use of the site.
When you accept, Google Analytics uses cookies, including _ga and _ga_…, to measure visits. It processes pages viewed, browser and device details, approximate location, and cookie identifiers so I can understand traffic and improve the site. Google processes IP addresses to provide the service and estimate location, and states that Analytics does not log or store IP addresses.
This site never sends contact form contents to Google Analytics. When you have accepted analytics, it records only that a form was sent and whether it asked for a checkup or a project. Your cookie choices
Use the banner to accept or reject analytics. You can reopen it any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Rejecting after accepting stops further analytics in that browser and removes the Google Analytics cookies this site set. It does not delete information already collected.
Your choice is saved in your browser for 180 days, and analytics cookies from this site expire after 180 days. Clearing your browser data or using another browser or device may ask you to choose again. You can also manage cookies in your browser or use Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
Service providers and disclosures
Information may be processed by the providers that support website hosting (Cloudflare), contact form email delivery (Resend), and, when you accept analytics, Google Analytics. Their processing may take place in the United States or other countries. I may also disclose information when the law requires it or to protect rights and security. I do not sell your personal information.
How long information is kept
Messages are kept as long as needed to reply, keep business records, and meet legal obligations. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings in Google Analytics and Google's terms.
Your requests
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see, correct, or delete personal information, or to object to some uses. Email hello@cruse.agency to make a request. I may need to confirm your identity and may keep information where the law requires or allows it.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy as the website or my practices change. The effective date above shows the latest update.
